I am someone who loves photography; you cannot find me outside one day of the year without my camera. A lot of people ask me or my family what I do with all my photos, and I tell them I upload them to social networking sites like facebook, and twitter, though I also take videos and post them on YouTube. I like to express myself through video and photo expressionism and I think its a great way to show what you love, both the subject and activity you are doing. I use a refurbished digital camera; I couldn’t afford a new one at the time. Don’t get me wrong though, I love my camera, its great. I can’t wait to go out and find my next photo shoot area. Some of my favorite things to photograph include nature, animals, and sports; football being my personal favorite due to all the constant action.

Most people take photographs for the purpose of sharing precious moments or important events with their family and friends, and a new born baby is certainly an event for some excellent memories. Over the years photographers have found out that non-photographic items can be invaluable in their work. Some ordinary, everyday household objects that can sometimes prove very useful when taking a good picture with a £1,000 lens are:
Swiss Army knife.
Small fold-up mirror as a reflector for close-ups.
Jeweler’s screwdrivers – screws always come undone when you are miles from a repair shop.
Compass – to work out where the light will be at any time of the day.
Cotton buds – for camera cleaning.
Blue Tac – for sticking gelatine filters to the back of a lens, or tacking pictures to walls without marking.
Note Pad.
Araldite glue – safe and strong.
Universal electrical plug – for recharging batteries anywhere.
Small torch – reading camera dials in the dark.
WD40 for cleaning tripods and protecting the equipment against sea spray etc. (but not the lens).
Gaff tape – repairs almost anything.
Vaseline – cleaning and making soft filters.
Space Blanket – compact light reflector.

Professional photographers have changed over the years. Photographers do not only cater to the residents of the city or the state of Texas, but have a global audience. He/she can easily reach a multitude of customers all around the world. Internet and digital photography has ensured that transferring images over long distances are done in a jiffy. Stock photography sites are another great source of steady income for professional photographers. You can sell your photographs to a host of people without even having to get out of your house. For photographers, as with any other professional, marketing is essential to success. There are only a handful of photographers around the world who are sought after for projects and assignments for the others it is important to market themselves. Social networking tools and a general presence on the web is vital as the internet has become the first choice for search.
