There are many different factors that can cause hair loss. The most common type of hair loss which affects most aging men is androgenic alopecia, otherwise known as male pattern baldness. This type of hair loss is caused by the hormone DHT, which negatively affects and kills the precious hair follicles on your scalp. Another very common type of hair loss affects women that have just given birth to newborn babies. The truth is that most women suffer from hair loss after pregnancy. Some lose a low of hair, while others suffer from a slight degree of hair loss which goes undetected.
Unlike men who are suffering from male pattern hair loss, women who wish to treat this type of hair loss can only resort to wigs and other concealing techniques. There is simply no direct cure for this problem. However, it is good to know that this type of hair loss is not permanent and that hair should regrow within six to twelve months.
