Which of the Leadership Competencies Are Most Important?

There are few different leadership competencies that are required in each organization. Which types of leadership competencies required will vary from industry to industry, but usually, most managers should possess the competencies that allow them to dissolve conflicts within the company. By having proper conflict resolution skills, a leader will be able to position himself as the problem solver in the company and become the go-to guy for such things. There are undeniably conflicts that arise every single day at the workplace, whether it is something trite or something that is critical for company success. However big or small the conflicts might be, it is critical to use leadership competencies such as conflict resolution skills to resolve the conflicts before they escalate into something that will be difficult to mend. When you have problems that run away and aren’t stopped, they can damage morale in the team or create project delays that will deem the project a failure.

They say that formal education can get you a living while self-education can get you a fortune. It’s partly true. You may have received formal education form the most prestigious school but it’s not a guarantee to instant success.
